Research & Translation

Research and translation form a core pillar of Munpa Rabsel’s mission. This is not a course for outside learners, but rather an initiative where Buddhist nuns themselves take the lead in preserving and sharing Tibetan knowledge.

Our Initiative: Munpa Rabsel members (Buddhist nuns) are actively engaged in researching and translating Buddhist texts, monastery histories, and religious traditions, ensuring this wisdom remains accessible for generations to come.

Capacity Building

To support their work, the nuns also receive translation training from experts, building their skills and confidence in academic research and translation.

Collaboration & Partnership

We warmly welcome individuals, scholars, and organizations who wish to collaborate with us on translation or research projects related to Buddhism, Tibetan culture, or religious history.

Through this program, the nuns strengthen their own Dharma practice and livelihood while also contributing to the wider preservation and sharing of Tibetan Buddhism.
